The Books of Awesome

De curand am citit doua carti publicate de bloggerul Neil Pasricha care se numesc The Book of Awesome si The Book of (Even More) Awesome.

The smell of freshly cut grass
The Book of Awesome

Freshly cut grass smells like twilight in the countryside, a football game about to start at the park, or a sunny Saturday morning in the suburbs. So whether you’re driving down a dusty farm road while the sun sets, stretching before the whistle blows, or putting your lawnmower back in the shed after crisscrossing your lot, just stop for a second, tip your head back real far, and take a big whiff, baby.
AWESOME!

Ador mirosul de iarba proaspat tunsa!

When a work friend becomes an outside-of-work friend
The Book of (Even More) Awesome

The nine-to-five brought you together.
Crackling jokes by the copier, swapping stories on the line, laughing in the lunchroom, you found a friend between policies, procedures and paperwork. When you got together, you started noticing you were just you, just hanging out, just laughing about your day.
Then one day your friendship zoomed to a new level. Maybe you grabbed a beer one night, got a surprise birthday invite, or became new texting pals.
Yes, you turned a work friend into an outside-of-work friend, baby. It wasn’t easy but you took the chance, you made the leap, and now you’re rocking with someone new.
AWESOME!

Getting the keys to your first apartment

Welcome to the throne.
For years you toiled as a lowly pauper under the rule of another castle. Sure, maybe the leaders of your old kingdom ruled with a fair hand but there were times your ideas and their ideas clashed. They wanted quiet, you wanted a pet jester, they wanted curfews, you wanted courtyard parties, they wanted bunk beds in the barracks, you wanted your own tower.
Now you’ve moved out and got yourself your own place. Sure, the moat’s in rough shape and the stables are a writeoff, but at least it reflects your personality and your taste. You’ve got a new responsibility and can do anything you want: put purple tapestries on the stone walls, hold court with new boyfriends, or skip the castle kitchen to go out for turkey drumsticks and a few glasses of mead.
Long live the king. Long live the queen.
Long live your new kingdom of
AWESOME!

Tocmai mi-am luat casa, si m-am mutat in noul meu camin, prima noastra casa, acum doua saptamani.
